On this day, Jesus demonstrated His authority by cleansing the Temple. This day is often called “The Day of Authority,” as He confronted corruption and called for true worship.
On this day, often called the Day of Authority, Jesus entered the Temple and drove out those who were buying and selling. He overturned tables and declared, “My house shall be called a house of prayer, but you have made it a den of robbers.” He confronted corruption directly because true worship had been replaced by empty business. Monday reveals that Jesus will not tolerate a faith that is only outward ritual while the heart remains unchanged.
Let this be your conviction today. Religion can become routine, but Christ demands purity. He has the authority to clear out the clutter in your life, the distractions, the compromises, and the things you have placed above Him. Do not resist His cleansing. Allow Him to make your heart a true house of prayer where He is honored above all else.
